Warehouse Shift Manager
Distribution / Transport / Logistics / Supply Chain ~ Shipping
Durban – Kwa Zulu Natal – South Africa
You will be responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, including the efficient loading and unloading of cargo, and the packing and unpacking of containers.
This role requires alternating day and night shifts in coordination with another shift manager.
You will report directly to the Warehouse Manager and be tasked with leading a team, that includes Team Leaders, Tally Clerks, Forklift Operators, General Workers, and Reach Stacker Drivers.
With a minimum of five years of supervisory experience in a warehouse environment, you will have strong leadership skills and confidence in decision-making.
Knowledge of shipping and port operations is essential, while experience with rigging, lashing, and handling abnormal or heavy cargo, such as earth-moving machines, will be considered a bonus.
Familiarity with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards and computer literacy are also advantageous for this role.
You will play a key part in ensuring smooth operations while upholding high safety and efficiency standards within the warehouse environment.
