Maintenance Foreman

Durban North

Engineering and Manufacturing

This position is based in the power generation department reporting to the Manager of the department.

The position calls for an experienced maintenance foreman with the ability to work effectively and meet the following requirements:
  Minimum N6 in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Trade Test Certificate in Mechanical fitting.
• Minimum 10 years heavy industrial experience in heavy engineering as supervisor/foreman.
• Sound experience in maintenance management, planning and budgeting.
• Agri industry experience within the power generation section will be advantageous.
• In-depth knowledge and experience in reliability, preventive & predictive maintenance.
• Maintenance and operating knowledge of boiler equipment will be advantageous.
• Sound experience in maintenance management, planning and budgeting.
• Good interpersonal skills and good labour relations practices.
• Computer literate and conversant with planned maintenance systems.

Plant Engineer

Durban North

Engineering and Manufacturing

Our client is seeking a dynamic individual with strong leadership skills and a sound heavy industry engineering background. This person must be energetic, with a passion for continuous improvement, quality workmanship and safety. 

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful applicant will be required to meeting the following minimum requirements:
• National Diploma / Mechanical /Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Government Certificate of Competency (GCC Factories).
• Minimum 10 years in a heavy engineering environment.
• Proven ability to effectively manage capital projects and plant modifications.
• Asset management and condition-based monitoring experience.
• Good understanding of milling and diffuser operations and maintenance.
• Knowledge and experience on food safety standards (ISO 22000) will be an added advantage
• Knowledge and experience in planned maintenance systems.
• Good technical fault-finding / problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate the Maintenance and operations teams.
• Knowledge and extensive experience Microsoft Office
• Excellent people management /leadership skills and communication skills.

Production Planner


Engineering and Manufacturing

Reporting to the Operations Manager in production. Essential that you meet or exceed the following minimum requirements:

• Recognised qualification in Production Planning/ Operations/ Production Management 
• Grade 12 with Mathematics would be advantageous 
• Previous experience working on Syspro or related system
• 5 years working experience in manufacturing and planning department essential with a full understanding of manufacturing processes
• Proficient in English. (read, write and speak)
