Seeking a skilled and proactive Machine Operator & Maintenance Technician to join a fast paced production team, with a minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience as an operator within a manufacturing environment with strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.

 

This role is critical in ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of production equipment to minimize downtime and maintain optimal performance.

Responsible for operating, setting, and maintaining machinery according to supplier operating manuals coupled with previous experience working on Negative and Positive Pasting lines, Expanders, Tab blankers, Hoppers, Dividers and Stackers

.

Ensuring machines produce quality products at nominal production rates whilst maintaining extraction and cooling systems in optimal condition and promoting safe handling and operation of all equipment.

 

Essential Qualifications required for the role: Matric and an Electrical or Mechanical Artisan Red Seal Trade Test (NQF Level 5).

Computer literacy (MS Office, SAP, ERP systems) an knowledge of maintenance practices, SOPs, and methodologies .
