Assistant Supply Chain Manager

You will be responsible for analysing and optimising transportation processes to ensure the efficient movement of goods, including managing inbound and outbound logistics.
 
You must hold a Diploma in Logistics, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field (NQF 7) and have 3-5 years of experience in a supply chain environment, with at least 3 years at a senior level.
 
Proficiency in SAP is mandatory, along with expertise in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, and Transportation Management Systems (TMS) are essential qualifications for this role
 
You should have a comprehensive understanding of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), alongside in-depth knowledge of warehousing and distribution processes.
 
Strong skills in Material Resource Planning (MRP), financial acumen, project management, and vendor management are essential.
 
Strong leadership, collaboration skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously are critical.
 
The role also involves continuous process optimisation, customer service engagement, and ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
 
The ability to provide detailed reports on transport performance, costs, and service levels, and to resolve transportation and customer-related issues swiftly is crucial to success in this position.
 
In this role, you will be expected to develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for transport operations and ensure the accuracy and relevance of transport-related documentation.
