Software Sales Executive

Cape Town – Western Cape – South Africa

An engineering design software company in Cape Town seeks a driven and motivated Software Sales Executive. The company develops and continually enhances design modules to meet customer needs, targeting Government, Municipalities, and Senior Engineers.
This role offers an opportunity for significant growth within the sales team. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining a robust sales pipeline, conducting executive-level sales engagements, understanding customer needs through consultative selling, and collaborating with the technical support team to demonstrate competitive advantages.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Diploma in Sales and/or Marketing
  • 8-10 years of sales experience in the commercial sales sector.
  • Infrastructure software sales experience would be advantageous
  • Experience selling software products to Government, Municipalities and Senior Engineers
  • Technology savvy – Proven proficiency in the use of software packages such as the MS Office platform and web-based CRM tools
  • Experience in new business selling (cold calling / opening new doors)
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasive skills for closing deals
  • Ability to explain product features and benefits in a way that stands out over competing brands
  • Ability to work under pressure and devise sales strategies
  • Good networking skills and the ability to handle numerous client companies
  • Code 8 driver’s licence with own transport.
  • Willing to travel away from home for at least two weeks a month.
