SHE Officer

You will ensure compliance with the manufacturing environment’s health, safety, and environmental regulations. Reporting to the Compliance Manager, the incumbent will act as the primary SHE representative for their shift, ensuring adherence to SHE policies, procedures, standards, and legal requirements.
Essential Requirements:
- A National Diploma in Safety Management or SAMTRAC certification
- At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or automotive setting.
- Strong knowledge of the OHS Act, ISO 9001/14001/45001 systems, national regulations, and relevant safety systems is required.
- Preferred qualifications include formal certifications in ISO standards and working knowledge of environmental, noise, and energy regulations.
Technical competencies include:
- Risk assessment, compliance audits, incident investigations, and health and safety training.
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Ability to work under pressure, strong organisational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
You will conduct hazard identification and risk assessments (HIRA), enforce compliance with regulatory requirements, oversee SHEE induction programs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
This position requires a strong team player with excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to fostering a safety culture.
