We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer. You will play a crucial role in the design, optimization, and support of technical projects. This is an exciting opportunity to work on higher-value and challenging projects, contributing to the success of the company.
To excel in this role, you must have a B.Eng or BSc Engineering degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. We are looking for a proactive individual with a strong technical background and expertise in pulley design, Finite Element simulations, and software management. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and set up quotes for complex pulley projects, ensuring accuracy and meeting customer requirements.
- Utilize Finite Element simulations to verify and optimize pulley designs.
- Update and maintain pulley design and quoting programs, improving methodologies and ensuring accurate pricing information.
- Provide technical support to the pulley drawing office and assist with software-related issues.
- Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of production schedules and material planning programs.
- Address client inquiries and provide solutions related to our products.
- Develop product improvements and innovative new products.
- Support the production team by addressing technical queries.
- Conduct failure analyses and fault-finding investigations.
- Deliver design verification calculations to clients, if required.
- Perform ad-hoc finite element simulations to support various functions.
- Acquire and maintain software packages, ensuring proper functioning.
- Assist users with day-to-day computer queries and resolve technical issues.
- Set up and maintain IT infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot network-related problems and resolve general IT issues.
- Oversee the proper operation of data servers.
- Administer Google for Business users and accounts.
- Ensure the daily backup of critical company IT data.
