Senior Engineer

You will lead critical initiatives within a metal-forming production environment, driving strategic improvements in production efficiency and cost reduction. With over a decade of experience, the role demands dynamic leadership, deep industry knowledge, and a strong focus on optimising business processes while fostering key relationships.
You will be a holder of an applicable Engineering Degree (BEng or BSc) at the NQF8 level, with an MBA being a notable advantage.
With a minimum of 10 years of experience in a production environment, you must possess in-depth knowledge of metal forming production manufacturing processes.
The role demands high-level leadership abilities, excellent managerial skills, and a dynamic, results-driven personality with a high energy level. You must be adept at developing and maintaining business relationships and demonstrate strong communication skills.
Key responsibilities include understanding and applying the Group’s strategy to improve throughput and reduce costs, supporting and leveraging the strategy, managing the department on sound business principles, and fostering long-term, proactive relationships with customers and suppliers.
Additionally, you will be responsible for managing and optimising all associated costs, actively overseeing SHERQ-related duties, and coaching and developing managerial levels and high-potential candidates within the organisation.
