Seeking a technically strong Sales & Business Development Manager offering an opportunity that blends deep technical knowledge with strategic client engagement. The role focuses on expanding market share, strengthening customer relationships, and driving structured business development supported by strong technical insight.
The role includes providing technical advice on installation and product support, training, and offering solutions to industrial clients to optimise equipment performance.
A tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering, coupled with knowledge of Heavy Industrial Boilers and heat-extraction equipment, is essential.
The role is Gauteng-based and will require extensive travel across the interior (Own transport essential)
Success requires commercial acumen, a hunter mindset, strong negotiation skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently. Reliable transport and frequent travel nationally are essential. (Own transport essential). Strong communicator with both technical and commercial acumen and committed to building lasting business relationships.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ proven success in Sales, Business Development or Technical Sales
- Demonstrated ability to retain and grow key accounts while securing new business
- Sound understanding of petrochemical processes and heavy industrial installations of boilers, fuel systems, and heat extraction equipment.
- Experience negotiating, structuring, and managing supply agreements and pricing frameworks
- Hands-on exposure to equipment installations, logistics, and basic supply chain operations
- Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and building a sustainable sales pipeline
