A results-driven Sales Manager is required to lead growth across the heavy duty manufacturing sectors regarding petroleum related products driving business development supported with a strong technical insight.
 
You will manage a defined portfolio, pursue new opportunities across related industrial markets, and deliver high-quality customer service. The role also requires managing pricing inputs and working closely with technical, supply chain, and credit teams to meet customer needs.
 
Success requires commercial acumen, a hunter mindset, strong negotiation skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently. Reliable transport and frequent travel are essential.
 
Qualifications
  • Diploma or Degree in a technical discipline (Mechanical or Chemical Engineering preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of fuel and oil products, fuel systems, boilers, and industrial installations
  • Solid understanding of petroleum processes and related industry systems
  • South African citizen with own reliable transport
 
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ proven success in Sales, Business Development or Technical Sales within the oil, lubricants, or boiler manufacturing sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability to retain and grow key accounts while securing new business
  • Experience negotiating, structuring, and managing supply agreements and pricing frameworks
  • Hands-on exposure to equipment installations, logistics, and basic supply chain operations
  • Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and building a sustainable sales pipeline
