Manufacturing | Industrial Solutions. A well-established manufacturer of specialist industrial consumables and engineered solutions seeks an experienced Sales Engineer to drive technical business development across heavy industrial sectors.
This is a client-facing role with a strong internal consultancy element, suited to a commercially sharp engineer who thrives at the intersection of metallurgical knowledge and strategic selling.
You will manage an active client portfolio, conduct on-site assessments, lead product demonstrations and serve as a technical resource to the broader sales and operations team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgical or Mechanical Engineering (essential)
Experience:
- 3 to 5 years in technical sales or business development within an industrial environment
- Proven knowledge of welding processes and material science, including alloy selection and wear mechanics
- Exposure to mining, manufacturing, or power generation sectors preferred
Essential Skills:
- Consultative selling with a solutions-first approach
- Ability to diagnose hardfacing linings and hardfacing components and recommend appropriate engineering interventions
- Strong communication skills across technical and executive audiences
- Valid driver’s license; willingness to travel to client sites
- Proficient in Google Drive and corporate email systems
