A well-established quarry operation on the South Coast requires a qualified Mechanical Fitter to join its Maintenance team, reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader. This role is suited to a trade-tested artisan with solid plant experience in heavy-industrial, cement, or quarry environments.

 

You will perform scheduled inspections, attend to plant breakdowns, execute mechanical repairs and modifications, and recondition components to ensure plant availability exceeds 90%. The position demands strong fault-finding capability, adherence to MHSA and lockout procedures, and the ability to work independently in accordance with South African installation standards.
