Reporting to the Operations Executive our clients is seeking a Procurement Manager with solid experience in the FMCG sector. You will be required to manage the Supply Chain function and taking responsibility for all purchase and sourcing activities.
 
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Business Administration
  • 10 years’ experience in a Procurement and Inventory Management environment
  • 5 years’ experience in a managerial capacity
  • FMCG sector experience essential
  • SYSPRO experience highly advantageous
 
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
  • Develop, lead and execute procurement strategies
  • To embed the procurement strategy, objectives and programmes into a longer term strategic financial plans for the business
  • To establish and deliver aggressive cost management targets and performance indicators to demonstrate value for money from the strategic procurement services
  • Set policy and guidelines for delivering commercial and cost-effective procuring processes for the business
  • Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking
  • Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer- supplier power
  • Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand
  • Conduct business review meetings with key stakeholders to assess risks, review future strategies, and identify potential cost down and improvement opportunities
  • Performs all procurement contracting activities
  • Negotiates contracts with suppliers to obtain best price and service
  • Arrange settlement terms and purchasing incentives
  • Manage stock levels of goods procured to achieve lower working capital for the company
  • Support departmental budget optimisation
  • Collect and consolidate affiliate spend data and products specifications for assigned categories to identify main cost drivers
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
  • Implement sound management processes in the stores to manage costs with regards to infrastructure, etc.
  • Train and mentor subordinates in line with company policies and procedures
  • Carry out any duty or requirement imposed on the company by the OHS Act and in accordance with your specific SHE appointment
