Parts Stores Controller

A well-established technical services organisation, operating from Pinetown, Durban, requires an experienced Stores Controller to take full ownership of its stores and inventory function. This role carries responsibility for stock planning, replenishment, purchasing and stores administration within a demanding, fast-paced environment.
Minimum Requirements
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills essential
- Minimum 5 years’ solid experience within a stores or warehouse environment
- Computer literate, with sound working knowledge of Word, Excel and relevant stock systems
- Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport essential
- Forklift operator’s licence advantageous; training available if not currently held
- Physically capable of lifting up to 20kg using correct lifting procedures
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, control and execute stock replenishment and purchasing
- Manage parts receipt from suppliers and internal warehouses
- Maintain stores administration, including purchase orders, stock issues and control registers
- Take ownership of stores housekeeping, organisation and loss prevention
- Conduct regular stock counts and resolve variances
- Maintain external customer relations and support ad hoc operational requirements
