Reporting to the COO you will be responsible for the development and ownership of the sales strategy for the division. As this is a national portfolio, you may be based at their offices in Cape Town, Durban or Johannesburg. Your key performance indicators include the management of existing customer relationships and contracts, communication to customers on pricing, new customer opportunities and associated contracts. Line management function of direct reports of a national sales team. You will be required to travel frequently to customers
 
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
  • Tertiary qualification essential: 3-year degree; Commercial (e.g., B.Com.) or Technical (B.Sc. Eng.)
  • Sales qualification preferred
  • Essential to have 10+ years post-graduation experience with demonstrated experience in a Sales role and thereafter a sales management role within the petroleum, gas energy, lubricants or chemicals sector.
  • Understanding of sales agreement contracts, supply contracts, strong knowledge of competition law, supply chain contracts
  • Proven experience in a National Sales Manager function
  • Oil or gas industry sales experience is preferred
  • Experience wood preservative industry
  • Knowledge of budget processes
  • Knowledge of competition law
  • Microsoft office suite
  • Own reliable transport
