You will report directly to the Millwright Team Leader and will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing manufacturing equipment and facilities, with a particular emphasis on metal pressing.
The role requires a qualified Millwright with an N4 Diploma and Red Seal certification, preferably with additional qualifications in AutoCAD and a Wireman License.
You will have at least 5 years of post-trade test experience in plant maintenance, with a strong background in mechanical and electrical tasks, specifically within metal engineering and metal pressing manufacturing.
The position demands expertise in overhead crane and compressor maintenance, as well as proficiency in hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLC programming.
You will be tasked with driving automation and improvement projects, ensuring the rapid repair and maintenance of computer-operated plant equipment, and performing electrical and mechanical repairs.
You must possess strong logical reasoning skills for problem-solving, a deep understanding of health and safety regulations, and an ability to work effectively under pressure.
The role also includes administrative duties, supervision of apprentices, and a commitment to Total Quality Management and Continuous Improvement, all while supporting Production Operations and the Toolroom in meeting quality and safety standards.
