A specialist manufacturing and converting environment is seeking a qualified Millwright to ensure the reliability, installation and maintenance of production machinery across the plant. This role is responsible for assembling, installing and maintaining complex equipment used in the manufacturing process, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
You will interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to determine work procedures, support equipment installation, and execute repairs. The role requires a hands-on artisan capable of conducting inspections, testing, and fault-finding to ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently. You will be responsible for preventive maintenance and troubleshooting breakdowns, with a strong focus on extending equipment lifecycles and maintaining consistent production output.
This position plays a critical role in supporting plant efficiency, quality standards, and operational continuity within a high-demand production environment.
Essential Requirements:
- Red Seal Trade Test (Millwright / Printers Engineer)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment – Continuous production manufacturing facility / High-volume production operation
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics
- Supervisory or shift leadership exposure
- Solid mathematical and problem-solving skills
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic systems and electrical systems
- Electrical fault-finding experience
- PLC knowledge essential
