Join a leading mechanical component manufacturing operation as a Material Controller, responsible for managing material stock levels, coordinating goods receiving and issuing processes, and ensuring inventory accuracy through Pastel.
You will collaborate closely with procurement, production, and suppliers to align material availability with production schedules. Key duties include conducting regular stock takes, investigating discrepancies, generating usage reports, and ensuring all materials are stored, labelled, and handled to meet safety and quality standards.
This role is key in supporting production efficiency and maintaining compliance with inventory management policies.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- 2–3 years’ experience in material control or inventory management within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in Pastel accounting/inventory software, focusing on stock and supplier modules.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, reporting).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in physical stock handling and warehouse operations.
Preferred:
- Background in mechanical components or industrial product manufacturing.
- Forklift license or material handling certification.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
