Maintenance Electromechanical Technician

Join a well-established manufacturing business where you will take ownership of maintaining and improving the reliability of specialised production equipment. Reporting to the General Manager, you will play a hands-on role in diagnosing faults, completing repairs and ensuring machinery operates safely and efficiently.
 
Minimum Requirements
  • Trade Test / Journeyman qualification in Printers’ Mechanic, Flexographic Printing or General Machine Maintenance.
  • Minimum 5 years’ hands-on maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with basic electrical and PLC fault-finding experience.
  • Welding, milling and lathe experience.
  • Proven ability to diagnose electromechanical faults and repair production equipment.
  • Print or converting industry experience will be highly advantageous.
 
Key Result Areas:
  • Diagnosing and repairing older mechanical production equipment with PLC-controlled systems.
  • Performing preventative and breakdown maintenance.
  • Completing in-house repairs using the workshop facilities.
  • Identifying and managing suitable specialist service providers when outsourced repairs are required.
  • Maintaining generators, compressors and other support equipment.
  • Driving high housekeeping and engineering standards across the factory while supporting production teams to maximise equipment uptime.
