IT Support Technician

A well-established manufacturing business is seeking a technically capable IT Support Technician to join its West Rand operation. This is a first-line ICT support role operating within a fast-paced, high-pressure production environment.
You must demonstrate a stable employment history and a genuine willingness to respond to after-hours and weekend callouts when operational or server issues arise.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric / NQF Level 4 essential
- Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems advantageous
- N+ qualification will be considered
- Up to two years of IT support or technician experience
- TCP/IP networking knowledge essential
- Syspro ERP experience essential
Essential Skills
- Microsoft Windows desktop OS and software support
- Active Directory administration
- LAN/network configuration and maintenance
- Antivirus management and patch deployment
- Backup procedures and off-site storage management
- Factory production scanning systems support
Roles and Responsibilities
- First-line ICT support across the manufacturing environment
- User account creation and profile management
- Remote and telephonic support to all sites
- Daily backup procedures and log book maintenance
- Licensed software and hardware compliance management
