A multi-site retail operation requires a commercially focused Inventory Manager to drive stock flow optimisation across an 80-store network. This role is accountable for identifying transfer opportunities, executing movements, and ensuring system accuracy, maximising sell-through while tightly controlling logistics costs. Success is measured by stock availability, reduced ageing inventory, and clear ROI on every transfer decision.
A disciplined executor who converts insight into action. Commercially astute, data-led, and proactive. The ability to anticipate demand, prevent losses, and deliver measurable inventory performance improvements.
Core Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience in retail inventory, stock control, or merchandise planning
- Proven experience managing stock across multi-site retail environments
- Strong ERP/POS system exposure
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets (self-sufficient analytical capability)
- High attention to detail with strong commercial reasoning
- Confident communicator across store and senior stakeholder levels
Key Deliverables
- Analyse store-level performance to identify transfer opportunities
- Execute and track inter-store transfers end-to-end
- Ensure accurate receipting and resolve stock discrepancies
- Maintain stock integrity across systems and physical locations
- Forecast demand and prevent stockouts through proactive planning
- Optimise transfer routes and reduce freight cost per movement
- Report on inventory performance, transfer ROI, and stock health
