A leading distributor in the premium consumer products sector is seeking an Inventory Control Supervisor to take ownership of stock accuracy and inventory integrity within a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role is suited to a hands-on supervisor with strong inventory control expertise, proven leadership capability, and a disciplined approach to audits, cycle counting, and discrepancy resolution. You will play a key role in maintaining stock accuracy, improving operational processes, and supporting overall warehouse performance.
Essential Requirements:
- Senior Certificate or equivalent
- Additional inventory management qualification advantageous
- Minimum 5 years’ supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution centre
- Strong understanding of inventory control principles and cycle counting procedures
- Experience with inventory management systems
- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute cycle counts in line with established schedules
- Lead and supervise inventory control and counting teams
- Investigate stock discrepancies and identify root causes
- Maintain accurate inventory records and reporting
- Train staff on inventory procedures and compliance standards
- Drive continuous improvement across inventory control processes
- Collaborate with receiving, shipping, and warehouse teams to ensure stock accuracy
