HSE Specialist

A leading multinational engineering and technical services organisation is seeking an experienced HSE Specialist to drive health, safety and environmental compliance across operational, workshop and field-based service environments.
This role is suited to a hands-on safety professional with strong regulatory knowledge, excellent reporting capability, and proven experience building a proactive safety culture within complex operational environments.
Minimum Requirements
- Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Public Health or related discipline
- NEBOSH certification essential (IOSH / NVQ advantageous)
- 5–7 years’ HSE experience within industrial, technical service or operational environments
- Strong knowledge of South African HSE legislation and compliance standards
- Experience conducting audits, risk assessments and incident investigations
- Advanced reporting and data analysis capability
Key Responsibilities
- Drive HSE compliance, audits and governance standards
- Conduct risk assessments and implement preventative controls
- Manage incident investigations and corrective action plans
- Prepare monthly compliance reports and performance dashboards
- Lead training initiatives, toolbox talks and safety awareness programmes
- Improve procedures and drive a continuous safety improvement initiative
