HSE & Facilities Lead

A well-established manufacturing business in Cape Town is seeking a confident, driven HSE & Facilities Lead ready to grow into a key site role. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this position is well suited to a candidate who is building their career in HSE and is eager to grow into a broader site leadership role. You will bring the right attitude, strong personality and genuine commitment to professional development.
The environment is manufacturing-based, contractor-heavy and fast-paced. You will manage safety standards, coordinate facilities and engage confidently with multiple external contractors and service providers. Responsibilities include HSE compliance, risk assessments, incident investigation, contractor management, facilities coordination and site safety culture.
Minimum Requirements
- 3 to 4 years’ EHS experience in a manufacturing environment (non-negotiable)
- Sound understanding of HSE/EHS practices and the OHS Act
- SAMTRAC, NEBOSH or equivalent certification preferred; relevant short courses in SHEQ considered
- Studying towards or holding a qualification in Risk Management, Environmental Management, BTech/BSc or related field advantageous
- Strong personality with the confidence to enforce safety standards across all levels
- Willingness to grow, develop and pursue further studies
