An established international engineering and technology group is appointing a Head of Operations for Africa. Reporting to the regional Director of Operations, you will lead supply chain, procurement, inventory, warehousing and the sales desk. Potential and results count as much as tenure.
What you will own
- End-to-end supply chain, logistics, procurement and inventory planning
- Availability, stock turn, OTD and order accuracy targets
- The customer sales desk and electronic ordering growth
- Managers across warehousing, procurement and customer service
What you bring
- BCom Supply Chain or related degree; engineering considered
- Proven operations leadership across supply chain, warehousing or procurement
- Technical product distribution experience preferred
- You hold teams accountable and keep them motivated
- You find the root cause and fix it for good
Your technical toolkit
- ERP-driven business processes; SAP advantageous
- Inventory planning, imports and supplier performance management
- Data analysis and continuous improvement
