Group Maintenance Manager

Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer you will oversee the execution and implementation of maintenance strategies across multiple manufacturing operations and terminals. This role involves managing a direct report, the Engineer while travelling regularly to various branches.
South African citizenship and reliable personal transport are required. The role demands a Durban-based individual or someone willing to relocate permanently to Durban.
You must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Government Certificate of Competency (GCC) in line with the OHSA.
Over 10 years of post-graduate experience in maintenance management is essential, preferably within the South African petroleum, gas, energy, or chemical industries.
Key responsibilities include ensuring statutory compliance programs are adhered to across all sites, providing technical expertise to branch and Maintenance Managers, and overseeing Capex and expense budgets.
You will play a crucial role in fostering teamwork, developing mechanical engineers, and driving initiatives that align with the company’s strategic goals.
You will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent knowledge of the South African OHSACT, and a passion for ensuring the optimisation and compliance of manufacturing sites.
