The Financial Director is a key executive responsible for overseeing the organisation’s financial strategy, planning, and operations, ensuring financial health, cost optimisation, risk management, and strategic growth.
 
This role requires extensive experience in manufacturing finance, including inventory management, production costing, and capital investments.
 
The FD must possess expertise in:
  • Financial planning, forecasting, and analysis, with a deep understanding of IFRS, GAAP, and regulatory compliance.
  • A minimum of 10 years in senior financial leadership, preferably as a Chartered Accountant (SA) or CIMA-qualified professional,
  • You will drive profitability through cost management and operational efficiencies.
  • Strong business acumen in manufacturing and mining industries is essential,
  • Proficiency in ERP systems such as Epicor, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Strong analytical thinking, leadership, and communication skills are crucial, as is the ability to link financial strategies with operational objectives.
 
You will lead the finance team, ensuring accurate financial reporting, robust internal controls, and strategic financial decision-making. Responsibilities include overseeing cash flow management, tax compliance, risk mitigation, and capital investment evaluation.
 
Additionally, you will play a key role in mergers, acquisitions, and funding initiatives, ensuring sustainable growth.
