Financial Accountant

You will be responsible for compiling, analysing, and reporting on monthly costs and management account statuses, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will hold a Financial Diploma or Degree and possess 4-5 years of accounting experience, with a background in manufacturing. Proficiency in Syspro and advanced Excel skills are highly desirable.
This role demands a strong understanding of financial transactional processing across all Syspro modules, exceptional attention to detail, and critical thinking abilities to resolve financial discrepancies.
You will complete and review key account reconciliations, implement necessary financial controls, and ensure accurate sub-ledger maintenance. They will produce timely and detailed management accounts, including variance analysis, budget preparation, and financial reporting improvements.
Additionally, you will oversee month-end journal adjustments, analyse actual versus budgeted performance, and ensure efficient financial reporting structures. Responsibilities also include assisting with audit processes, preparing financial schedules, and identifying areas for process optimisation. You will manage distributor price list updates, verify supplier payments, and contribute to feasibility and cost analysis where required.
This role requires a proactive approach to financial oversight, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and strategic financial support.
