A well-established engineering operation seeks a skilled Electrical Team Leader to support the Electrical Engineer in leading a high-performing team. Based in Port Shepstone, this role ensures electrical maintenance, breakdown response, project implementation, and SHE compliance meet company and statutory standards.
You’ll bring technical credibility, team leadership, and a problem-solving mindset to ensure operational continuity and quality. This is an opportunity to coach, manage, and mentor a team to deliver best-in-class electrical outcomes in a demanding, safety-conscious environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Trade-Tested Electrician with Matric and Mathematics
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as Electrical Team Leader / Site Supervisor in construction
- Proven team management and people leadership experience
- Valid driver’s license and own transport
- Fluent in English (written and verbal)
- Strong ability to read electrical drawings and develop Bill of Quantities
- SAP MRP System experience
- Computer literacy (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Key Competency – SHERQ Mindset
Preferred / Advantageous:
- Wireman’s License or ability to issue CoCs
- Solar PV installation knowledge
- PLC fault-finding exposure
Familiarity with site management tools and reporting software
