Demand Planning Manager

FMCG / Food & Bev /Agri
Sandton – Gauteng – South Africa

A senior Demand Planning Manager is required to lead the development, governance, and continuous refinement of short-, medium-, and long-term demand forecasts across the business. This role translates strategic objectives into robust, data-driven demand plans that enable effective supply chain planning, service level optimisation, and profitable growth.

You will own the end-to-end demand planning cycle, including baseline and promotional forecasting at the detailed product level, measurement of forecast accuracy, and insight generation to drive proactive supply chain decisions. Working closely with Marketing, Finance, Supply Planning, and 3PL partners, you will integrate customer demand into a single consensus plan through structured joint business planning.

The role plays a key part in Annual Operating Plan development, NPD demand planning, mix analysis, and short-dated stock management, while leading continuous improvement in forecasting processes, master data governance, and planning digitisation. You will balance complexity, challenge assumptions, resolve demand–supply gaps, and drive forecast error reduction across regions and categories.
