A senior Contracts Manager is required to take full accountability for large-scale industrial services operations within a major mining environment in the Rustenburg region. This role carries responsibility for operational delivery, safety performance, cost control, and client engagement across multiple active sites and workstreams.
You will manage complex site-based operations, leading management teams and a sizeable workforce to ensure contracted services are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget, while meeting stringent mine standards and SHEQ requirements. Reporting into senior leadership, this role serves as the primary operational and commercial interface with the mine. It plays a key role in identifying opportunities to expand scope within the operation.
This role will appeal to a senior operational leader with strong mining credibility, disciplined execution skills, and the confidence to operate at the senior client and site-management level.
Key Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline (advantageous)
- SACPCMP registration and safety qualifications, such as SAMTRAC or NEBOSH (advantageous)
- 5–7 years’ experience managing industrial or site-based operations within a mining or heavy industrial environment
- Experience in scaffolding, lagging and cladding is essential.
- Proven capability in leading large, multi-disciplinary teams across multiple sites
- Strong working knowledge of Mine Health & Safety Act, OHS legislation, and mine-specific standards
- Solid commercial acumen, planning capability, and operational reporting experience
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to work extended hours when operationally required
