Join a well-established manufacturer supplying specialised electrical solutions to commercial and industrial markets. Reporting to the Finance team, you will take ownership of procurement, supplier management, inventory control and stores supervision, ensuring materials are available to support production while driving cost savings and operational efficiency.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ procurement or buying experience within the electrical wholesaler or electrical manufacturing industry.
- Experience purchasing BOM – electrical components, switchgear and related products.
- Proven supplier negotiation and relationship management experience.
- Strong inventory, stock control and purchasing administration skills.
- Experience supervising stores or warehouse operations.
- Proficient in ERP systems; Pastel Evolution experience is highly advantageous.
- No tertiary qualification is required; proven industry experience is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Procure electrical materials aligned to production requirements.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms and supplier agreements.
- Manage supplier performance, quality and delivery.
- Supervise stores and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Coordinate with production to prevent material shortages.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and service.
- Ensure purchasing compliance, accurate documentation and continuous stock availability to support manufacturing objectives.
