A high-performing manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead critical financial functions within its Finance Department. Reporting to the Financial Controller and GM: Finance, this role is pivotal in maintaining financial accuracy, enhancing cost control, and ensuring compliance. With the incumbent’s recent resignation, we are looking for a seasoned finance professional with strong costing experience and a hands-on approach to financial operations.
Key Requirements:
- B.Com in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar role within the manufacturing sector
- Strong experience in costing, financial statement preparation, and tax compliance
- Proficient in cash flow, customer & creditor ageing, fixed asset register management
- Advanced Excel proficiency: knowledge of Sage X3 ERP is advantageous
- Demonstrated integrity, analytical thinking, accountability, and strong communication skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Analyse budgets vs actuals and drive cost-saving initiatives
- Manage audits, tax compliance, statutory submissions, and reporting cycles
- Ensure internal controls and maintain accurate financial records
- Oversee weekly/monthly reporting, payroll and VAT reconciliations
Approve daily creditor payments and liaise across departments on finance matters
