An opportunity exists for an Accountant to take ownership of the full financial function within a manufacturing business unit. This role is suited to a commercially aware finance professional with strong technical accounting ability, sound systems understanding, and proven experience in managing financial controls, reporting accuracy, and operational finance processes.
Minimum Requirements
- BCom Accountancy or equivalent qualification
- Proven experience within the manufacturing sector
- Strong MS Office skills
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing business demands
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
Role Profile
- Prepare and analyse monthly and annual financial statements
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances
- Assist with budget preparation and cash flow planning
- Oversee debtors, creditors, and cashbook functions
- Manage factory loading and sales order integrity
- Coordinate inward and outward shipping administration
- Maintain financial systems, controls, and reporting integrity
- Support Omnix/Netterm system enhancement and control improvements
- Manage fixed assets and stock control
