An established distributor within the fast-moving consumer goods sector, with a broad retail and e-commerce customer base, is seeking a detail-oriented Credit Controller to join its Finance team. Reporting to the Financial Manager, you will manage the debtors’ book, drive timely collections, and support accurate e-commerce reconciliations. This is a fully office-based opportunity suited to a candidate who takes pride in accuracy, strong customer relationships, and sound financial control.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Diploma or Degree in Finance or a related field.
- 4 to 6 years’ credit control or accounting experience.
- FMCG, Manufacturing or Retail sector experience essential
SKILLS
- Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word and Excel).
- Working knowledge of an ERP/accounting system such as Syspro.
- Strong reconciliation skills for complex accounts.
- Sound query resolution and problem-solving ability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the full debtors’ book, including account reviews, collections, and payment commitments in line with company policy and trading terms.
- Prepare and distribute debtor statements, reconcile age analysis reports, and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Capture and process daily account movements, including posting and clearing of system and bank transactions.
- Reconcile and verify e-commerce sales, re-share payments, and related inventory sales across systems and reports.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on outstanding debtors, with recommendations to improve collections and reduce risk.
Maintain accurate debtor records and filing systems, and provide support during annual audits.
