A well-established manufacturing business supplying specialist building solutions is seeking a hands-on Assistant Production Manager to support the day-to-day running of its production facility.
Reporting to the Production Manager, you will help deliver production targets, maintain quality standards, improve operational efficiency and lead a productive factory team. This role suits a proactive manufacturing professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for continuous improvement.
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma in Production, Operations, Project Management or a related field.
- 3-5 years’ supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience in a manufacturing business supplying specialist building solutions essential.
- Strong understanding of production processes and health & safety practices.
- Computer literacy with experience reporting on production KPIs.
- Strong leadership, organisational and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily factory operations and production planning.
- Supervise production teams and allocate resources.
- Monitor productivity, quality and operational performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Prepare production reports and maintain accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with quality, maintenance and logistics teams to ensure efficient production flow.
