Laboratory Technician

A leading organisation in a specialised manufacturing environment is seeking a technically strong Laboratory Technician to join its quality and production team. This role is ideal for a hands-on laboratory professional who enjoys working in a precision-driven environment focused on quality, testing, and process control.
To be successful, you will need:
- A National Diploma or Degree in Chemistry or a related qualification
- Minimum 2 years’ laboratory or manufacturing industry experience
- Knowledge of quality control systems, SAP, and laboratory testing procedures
- Previous colour matching experience will be highly advantageous
In this role, you will:
- Conduct laboratory testing on product samples, evaluating viscosity, drying time, tack, and related quality properties
- Perform colour matching activities and visual assessments against required product specifications
- Calibrate and validate laboratory equipment to ensure testing accuracy and reliability
- Monitor product quality standards and identify deviations through statistical process control methods
- Capture testing results, process orders, and stock information on SAP
- Support production teams by monitoring batches and assisting with technical troubleshooting
