A manufacturing operation seeks a motivated Electrical Engineering Intern to support its engineering and maintenance team. This is a hands-on role with real exposure to industrial electrical systems, instrumentation, automation, and Delta PLCs. It suits a recently qualified candidate who is comfortable working on the plant floor.
Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, Instrumentation, or a related field
Experience:
- Exposure to industrial electrical systems and instrumentation advantageous
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or plant environment beneficial
Essential Skills:
- Basic knowledge of Delta PLCs, PLC logic, and input/output systems
- Ability to read electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and control schematics
- Familiarity with sensors, control panels, motors, and drives
- Microsoft Office proficiency
Preferred Skills:
- Exposure to Delta PLC programming or troubleshooting
- Familiarity with CAD or electrical drawing software
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Support electrical and instrumentation work across plant systems
- Assist with Delta PLC tasks, fault finding, and control system support
- Assist with installation, testing, calibration, and commissioning
- Support updates to drawings, schematics, and project documentation
- Adhere to all safety procedures and lockout/tagout requirements
