A well-established manufacturing operation in Cape Town is seeking an experienced Assistant Production Manager to support the day-to-day management of factory production activities.
Reporting to the Production Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring production targets, quality standards, safety requirements, and operational efficiencies are consistently achieved. Experience in manufacturing, wet casting or a related production environment is highly advantageous.
Only candidates with proven production supervision experience and a hands-on operational management approach will be considered.
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma in Project Management or equivalent qualification
- Experience within a manufacturing, factory, production, or wet-casting environment
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
- Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices
- Computer literacy with reporting and administrative capability
- Valid driver’s licence advantageous
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily factory and production operations
- Assist in executing production plans and meeting deadlines
- Supervise production teams and allocate resources effectively
- Monitor productivity, workflow, quality, and operational performance
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and operational standards
- Assist with production reporting, KPI monitoring, and operational documentation
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, and logistics teams to achieve operational objectives
