A specialist advanced manufacturing and product development environment is seeking a hands-on Mechatronics Engineer to support technical integration, equipment reliability, product testing and continuous improvement within a highly innovative production and laboratory setting.
This is a practical, technically varied role suited to an engineer who enjoys working across mechanical systems, electronics, automation, sensors, pumps, motion systems, control systems and technical troubleshooting. The position supports product validation, equipment optimisation, fault-finding, test method improvement and data-driven process enhancement.
Minimum Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Mechatronic, Mechanical, Electrical, Automation Engineering or related field.
- Practical experience with mechanical systems, electronics, sensors, motors, pumps, control systems or automation.
- Hands-on ability with tools, equipment, prototypes and technical testing.
- Exposure to specialist manufacturing, product development or applied engineering environments advantageous.
- Strong fault-finding, analytical, documentation and reporting skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot and improve technical equipment, test rigs and supporting systems.
- Support product validation trials, technical investigations and equipment set-ups.
- Improve workflows, fixtures, SOPs, maintenance schedules and test methodologies.
- Introduce automation, sensors or data capture solutions where appropriate.
- Work closely with technical, production and development teams to improve performance, reliability and operational efficiency.
