Commercial & ESG Manager

A leading, established organisation within the freight and logistics sector is seeking to appoint a Commercial & ESG Manager to support strategic commercial initiatives, risk management, and ESG reporting at a head office level.
This newly created role offers exposure across commercial operations, transformation, and governance, providing direct support to senior leadership. This role requires a structured, analytical professional with strong reporting capability and the ability to operate across multiple business functions in a high-performance environment.
Essential Requirements
- B.Com Degree coupled with a Post Grad in Environmental Management or a BSc in Environmental Management coupled with a Post Grad in Finance Management or similar.
- Minimum 5 years’ commercial experience
- Exposure to freight, logistics, or maritime sectors
- Strong Excel and business analytics capability
- Proven experience in tender, bid, and project management
- Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management
Key Responsibilities
- Support strategic business development initiatives and proposal preparation
- Research, screen, and coordinate tender and bid submissions
- Consolidate ESG and transformation reporting across business units
- Manage reporting templates, submissions, and governance schedules
- Support risk committee processes, reporting packs, and documentation
- Assist with insurance renewals, declarations, and claims coordination
- Compile reports and insights to support decision-making at the executive level
