Senior Production Planner

A senior planning leadership role responsible for driving the master production schedule, aligning demand, materials, and manufacturing capacity to meet customer requirements and business objectives.
The role requires strong engagement at the executive level, delivering clear reporting, insights, and presentations that inform strategic decision-making. Leading a team of Production Planners and Material Planners, you will ensure disciplined, system-driven planning processes across the operation.
Essential Requirements
- NQF Level 6 Diploma in Production/Maintenance Planning, Engineering or related
- NQF Level 7 Industrial Engineering Degree highly advantageous
- Minimum 5 years’ senior-level experience in Production/Maintenance Planning within manufacturing
- Automotive sector exposure preferred; broader industrial manufacturing considered
- Advanced Excel capability; SAP/ERP experience advantageous
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking and process-driven mindset
Key Focus Areas
- Develop and execute master production schedules aligned to demand and capacity
- Manage MRP, inventory planning, and materials availability
- Lead planning team to ensure accurate, timely scheduling and execution
- Provide executive-level reporting and performance insights
- Drive continuous improvement in planning systems and processes
