A well-established, technology-driven organisation operating in a cloud-first, Microsoft-centric environment is seeking an Infrastructure Administrator to support and maintain enterprise infrastructure and network services. The role sits within a highly collaborative IT team with strong subject-matter expertise and requires an operational professional capable of managing systems, networks, and user support across a hybrid Azure environment.
 
You will provide hands-on administration across servers, networking, security, and cloud platforms, ensuring system stability, availability, and security while supporting business operations.
 
This role requires a technically capable professional who combines strong troubleshooting ability with operational discipline, and who thrives in a fast-moving, technology-focused environment
 
Key Requirements
  • 3–5 years’ experience in infrastructure or systems administration.
  • Strong exposure to Windows and Linux servers, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and virtualisation.
  • Solid networking knowledge, including routing & switching, SD-WAN, VPN/IPsec, network segmentation, firewalls, and wireless networks.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Azure environments (not necessarily cloud SME level).
  • Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions and system monitoring tools.
  • Basic scripting ability (PowerShell or Bash) is advantageous.
  • Certifications such as Microsoft, CompTIA Network+, or Security+ beneficial.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and monitor physical and virtual infrastructure environments.
  • Manage patching, updates, and security compliance across systems.
  • Oversee network infrastructure, including SD-WAN, switching, firewalls, and VPN connectivity.
  • Administer identity, access management, and Group Policies.
  • Provide Tier 2–3 technical support for escalated infrastructure issues.
  • Manage backup, recovery processes, and disaster readiness.
  • Support hybrid cloud infrastructure and virtualisation platforms.
  • Maintain technical documentation and collaborate with vendors and internal IT teams.
