A well-established organisation within the construction environment is seeking an experienced HR Specialist to manage and lead all Industrial Relations matters while overseeing recruitment and training initiatives. The role is accountable for ensuring full compliance with South African labour legislation, managing CCMA and bargaining council engagements, and maintaining constructive union relationships.
You will drive end-to-end recruitment and onboarding, support skills development and SETA compliance, and advise management on disciplinary, grievance, and collective bargaining processes. This role requires a confident HR professional who operates with discretion, precision, and sound judgement in a demanding, regulated environment.
This opportunity suits a commercially minded HR practitioner who can balance operational delivery with risk mitigation and employee relations excellence
Requirements include:
- A relevant HR or IR qualification
- A minimum of five years’ hands-on IR experience (construction preferred), proven CCMA representation
- Strong knowledge of BCEA, LRA, EEA and OHSA, and demonstrated capability in recruitment, training facilitation, and policy implementation.
