A results-driven Sales Manager is required to lead growth across the petroleum sectors. The role focuses on expanding market share, strengthening customer relationships, and driving structured business development supported by strong technical insight.
You will manage a defined portfolio, pursue new opportunities across related industrial markets, and deliver high-quality customer service. The role also requires managing pricing inputs and working closely with technical, supply chain, and credit teams to meet customer needs.
Success requires commercial acumen, a hunter mindset, strong negotiation skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently. Reliable transport and frequent travel are essential.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Business or a technical discipline (Technical Discipline preferred)
- Strong knowledge of fuel and oil products, fuel systems, boilers, and industrial installations
- Solid understanding of petroleum processes and related industry systems
- South African citizen with own reliable transport
Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ proven success in Sales, Business Development or Technical Sales within the oil, lubricants or petroleum sectors.
- Demonstrated ability to retain and grow key accounts while securing new business
- Experience negotiating, structuring, and managing supply agreements and pricing frameworks
- Hands-on exposure to equipment installations, logistics, and basic supply chain operations
- Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and building a sustainable sales pipeline
