Reporting to the Section Manager, you will be responsible for operating, repairing, and maintaining high-performance production machinery, focusing on minimising downtime and ensuring optimal output. This role is essential to maintaining production continuity and achieving quality standards across negative and positive pasting lines. Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 Certificate (NQF 4)
- Trade-Tested Artisan Qualification (NQF 5)
- Up to 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
- South African citizen essential
Technical Skills & Competencies:
- Proficiency in SAP, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office
- Strong understanding of mechanical maintenance, SOPs, and equipment operation
- Ability to read and implement equipment operating manuals
- Knowledge of housekeeping, safety, and compliance protocols
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and optimise production lines, ensuring equipment operates at required quality and production rates
- Complete accurate logs, job cards, and SPC data as per procedural requirements
- Promote compliance, safety, and cost control through disciplined operations
- Identify and resolve operational issues with a focus on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
