Our client based in Cape Town is seeking a lively and self-motivated individual.  Essential to have solid commercial experience in the Retail sector with B2B expertise. A hands-on role that requires a person who is eager to go the extra mile as projects are unpredictable. This is a senior role, and the portfolio responsibility is on a large scale.
 
You will build solid relationships with Corporate Head Offices at a senior level. You will be required to engage in a strategic business partnership with the customer, to deliver on promises to the client. Effective communication and negotiating skills are key to performing in this role.
 
Attend briefing and production meetings with relevant parties involved to plan and communicate requirements, processes, workflow and deadlines to ensure client satisfaction. Provide the customer with dynamic, innovative solutions which will result in cost-saving realisation and effective business communication strategies. Attend progress/status meetings with Client, Agency and suppliers detailing and recording projects and actions with meeting notes distributed to relevant parties.
 
Key performance indicators include negotiating SLA’s, financial indicators and service delivery performance. A lateral thinker that can be innovative in terms of contributing to high-level concept and design. Essential that you understand print specifications, substrates, and process flows. Responsibility in managing all factors that influence the relationship between the client and the company.
 
Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • Sales and Marketing Diploma/Degree
  • 5 – 10 years sales experience
  • At least 5-10 years of work experience on a Retail account is essential.
  • Insight into the functions of the creative & production processes for advertising
  • Instore Point of Sales expertise
  • Understand the key account brand and marketing culture.
  • Understand client products, specifications, and annual volumes.
  • Interpret briefs
  • Identify key decision-makers within the client account and effectively build trust with those individuals.
  • Demonstrate a proven record of success within the sales arena through maintenance of client relationships, project management, success in sales and knowledge of all Industry products.
