Senior HR Officer

Durban North, Durban – Kwa Zulu Natal – South Africa

Reporting to the HR Executive, our client seeks a seasoned HR professional who understands the benefits of partnering with the business from an advisory perspective and executing HR strategies linked to broader business goals.  
Provide guidance on human capital best practices and strategic support services to the various Business Units/divisions. You will also act as an employee champion and change agent and be responsible for driving the values and culture of the organisation.
This role offers extensive scope to provide support on a range of human resources functions in accordance with policies, procedures, and legislative requirements. It is not just a job, but a platform for your professional growth and development.
It is essential that you have gained experience within the manufacturing sector. You must be extensive in driving change management initiatives at all organisational levels. Additionally, you will have a thorough understanding of working within a matrix organisation and continuously reinforce group-wide initiatives.
Essential Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources/Industrial Psychology
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a generalist in a management role
  • Manufacturing sector experience essential
  • Good working knowledge of HR legislative requirements
  • Industrial relations experience
  • Wage negotiations – SATU experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Visio, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • VIP payroll admin experience
