Job Description

Reporting to the General Manager you will be required to lead and manage the entire Sales & Marketing function and teams in order to achieve business objectives. You will be required to develop sales strategies towards achieving the commercial objectives of the business. Provide the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that the organisation has the proper controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems in place to effectively grow profitability through sales.

Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• Relevant tertiary qualification
• MBA or  Post Graduate Diploma would be highly advantageous
• Min of 10 years relevant experience in a related role, preferably B2B sales and marketing. 
• Experience in the food industry would be advantageous.

Job Duties

Key Result Areas:
• Manage the Sales & Management budget finances of the function.
• In conjunction with Finance, authorise expenditure.
• Prepare and manage the budget and manage expenditure against the budget.
• Protect company assets - working capital & fixed assets
• Develop, manage and monitor the annual sales & marketing budget 
• Manage, measure and monitor customer satisfaction within a business unit 
• Develop the sales & marketing strategy and align with the business strategy.
• Conceptualise, develop and manage innovative customer strategies and systems to meet business objectives.
• Formulate and design customer service delivery systems and processes.
• Develop the best route to market and the channel plan for all customer segments 
• In conjunction with Finance negotiate and manage Trading Term Agreements and relevant pricing strategies 
• Actively identify & pursue new business opportunities.
• Contribute to & implement with Innovation, Marketing and Manufacturing new product development strategies to deliver business strategy.
• Analyse and interpret data and marketing information.
• Develop & implement marketing plans and strategies to meet business objectives.
• Manage & oversee implementation of marketing plans.
• Analyse competitive landscape and provide a comprehensive market analysis.
• Keep up to date with latest trends in Sales and Call Centre Management
• Identify and generate alternative opportunities for process/systems improvements.
• Compile regular and insightful Sales Reports for executive decisions.
• Monitor and evaluate team members against performance standards.
• Implement and manage the Succession Planning process
• Compile, submit and monitor Functional Workplace Skills Plan and Annual Training Report
