Job Description

Our client is seeking an Executive with sound business acumen, coupled with strong leadership skills, and the ability to direct and manage a team. You will be able to demonstrate an ability to apply the principles of problem identification, analysis, and decision-making within the immediate work context. Strong interpersonal and EQ skills required, coupled with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Responsible for the planning, implementation, managing, and running of all the finance activities of the division, including business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and negotiations. In addition, oversee overall operations including systems, procurement, facilities, and administration. 

Job Duties

The key educational requirements, experience and qualifications for this position would be: 
• Qualified Chartered Accountant CA(SA) essential
• Minimum 5 years post articles experience in finance and operations management 
• Essential that you have proven knowledge of cost control, financial analysis, accounting principles, practices, standard laws, and regulations 
• Experience in the preparation & finalisation of accounts in accordance with current SA regulations 
• Solid understanding of statutory requirements, e.g. VAT, imports, exports 
• Knowledge of Corporate Governance, relating to risk management, financial reporting, financial auditing, controls, and compliance is a MUST 
• Strong knowledge of computer software packages and MS Office 
• Strong leadership skills, ability to direct and manage a team 
• Technical skills, ability to calculate and interpret financial results, manipulate large amounts of data and accuracy  
• Extensive experience in the implementation of systems and processes 
• Ability to integrate/coordinate financial and operational strategies 
• Solid track record in excellent management and coaching skills 
• Business reporting skills, ability to compile accurate and meaningful business reports
