Group Financial Manager

An established and growing business is seeking a highly capable CA(SA) to join its core executive leadership team as Group Financial Manager. This role reports directly to the CEO and works alongside the CTO and Head of Operations. It is central to driving financial discipline, operational compliance, and strategic guidance across the organisation.
As a key leadership figure, you will oversee the Finance and administration department, regulatory compliance, and HR oversight and play an integral role in legal and commercial contract review. The role requires strategic acumen and hands-on financial governance and reporting control.
Essential Requirements:
- Chartered Accountant CA(SA) – non-negotiable
- Minimum 10 years’ senior finance experience (preferably in project, tech, construction or mining sectors)
- Strong commercial law foundation and comfort with contract review
- Proven leadership across finance, HR, and administration functions
- High-level stakeholder engagement experience with auditors, legal, and insurance partners
- Clean credit and criminal record; own vehicle and driver’s licence required
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Finance & Administration team (Finance Manager, Accountant, 3 Clerks, 2 Admin, 2 Housekeeping)
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting across the group
- Oversee all tax and regulatory compliance functions
- Direct the HR function, including collaboration with outsourced IR and internal HR clerk
- Review and support commercial legal agreements alongside the CEO and legal counsel
- Actively participate in Audit, Risk, and Payroll Committees
- Advise the CEO on cash flow management and strategic asset allocation
