Our client is seeking a CA(SA) with 5 years post articles experience in a multi-national, preferably with a reporting structure to the CFO. Minimum 5 years’ working with IFRS International financial reporting standards. Responsible for Accounting and Reporting. Preparation of financial statements, internal financial reporting and financial analysis as well as related processes and controls. The position leads manages the annual audit and supports the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes.
 
Essential Qualification, Skills and Experience:
  • CA(SA) essential
  • 5 years’ post articles experience in a multi-national preferably reporting to the CFO.
  • Minimum 5 years’ working with IFRS International financial reporting standards
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Consolidated Reporting
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience leading teams
  • Extensive experience required to provide enhanced Analysis and Commentary
  • Good understanding and application of Compliance requirements
  • Excellent understanding and application of the appropriate Tax Planning
  • Understanding and application/control of Transfer Pricing
  • Extensive experience with Reporting/Consolidation platforms
  • Direct oversight and experience with SAP, Draftworx / Caseware
  • Advanced MS Excel skills i.e. Financial Modelling essential

Key Role Responsibilities
  • Establish or maintain the legal and statutory framework of accounting and control policies
  • Identify areas of accounting non-conformance and implement corrective actions
  • Leads and manages the Annual Audit
  • Responsible for the preparation of the Annual Financial Statements
  • Responsible for all annual and monthly statutory returns
  • Prepare annual budgets including balance sheets and cash flows
  • Allocate budgets to specific cost centres/accounts in the chart of accounts.
  • Monitor the actual results against the approved budget
  • Adjust the approved budget in response to variances between planned and actual expenditures
  • Weekly and monthly operational financial planning and generation of reliable forecasts
  • Produce financial reporting which is the recording and presentation of financial statements
